    I am posting these here for Rick.

    We are looking at having 2 implants done for my wife. After asking a lot of questions the one straight answer we cannot get is why the cost for the crown alone, not including the abutment or post is about 4 times the cost of a crown over a tooth. If anything the casting for a crown over an abutment should be easier to produce.

    An explanation would be appreciated.

    It should be the same or maximum twice. As dental implant laboratory work require more training and experience beside dental implant crown at the clinic has special type of cement to fix it in the mouth .In my clinic I do it in the same price.
