I am Dr. Peter Benedek, Head Surgeon and owner of Platinum Dental Budapest (Fog Asz Kft.)
I studied at the Faculty of Dentistry, Semmelweis University, Budapest and graduated in 1990. This University requires an extremely high level of ability in order to graduate making Hungarian dentists some of the most highly skilled and respected within the industry.
We are located in the heart of Budapest. Our private clinic was fully renovated in August 2014 and features only the very latest equipment and technologies.
How long have you been in business?

How many dental implant procedures have you done? What is your success rate?
We specialise in all aspects of dentistry including implantations, crowns, veneers, bridges, bone augmentations to name just a few and I have personally fitted well over 500 implants to foreign guests with a 99.7% success rate.
Where do most of your patients come from? How do they hear about your clinic?
Most of our guests visit from the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria. These guests have extremely high expectations and we aim to exceed these expectations every time.
The majority of our business comes from referrals by past guests. ‘Word-of-mouth’, if you pardon the pun.
Being recommended by someone who has personal experience of our service is the best form of advertising possible.
What procedures do you typically recommend and perform?
Implantations and the associated dentistry is a particular speciality of ours and is the most popular treatment our guests travel for. Should a bone augmentation be required this is also possible and we use 3D CT technology to ensure absolute perfection.
What type of implants does your clinic use?
We use only the finest materials and brands of implants. All implants are fully compatible with North American dentistry, fully guaranteed and issued with a worldwide recognised certificate.
Our standard implant is produced by Alpha Bio. Their longevity and success rate are fantastic. We also offer Straumann implants should a guest wish to opt for a premium brand.
Please give me a summary of the steps of getting an implant at your clinic.
Our implant procedure is simple:
Planning / Xray / Implant / Healing / Final crown fitting.
Can you please provide a quick description of the surgical procedure at your clinic?
We ask our prospective clients to visit a dentist local to them for an X-ray then forward that to us by email or post. In the vast majority of cases this allows us to plan their treatment before they travel.
The implant fitting is simple and pain-free. We explain all procedures in detail prior to treatment in order to ensure our guests are comfortable and fully relaxed.
How much do your procedures cost?
We offer some of the best prices available and offer many aspects for FREE.

If bone augmentation, such a sinus lift, is required we shall know this prior to treatment starting. Our prices for this type of treatment are excellent and available on request.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment in cash of any major currency as well as credit / debit cards.
No deposit or upfront/pre-payment, you simply ‘Pay-As-You-Go’.
How many trips to Hungary are required?
For implant treatment, a 3 night stay in Budapest is required when fitting the actual implant. This is followed by a 2 night stay 3-4 months later for the fitting of the final crown. Should you wish to have the final crown fitted in your home country, this too is possible as all our implants are world recognized brands.
What do advise your patients to do if they have a problem with their implant?
In our experience, over 99.7% of implants are successful. In the highly unlikely case of there being a problem after our guest has returned home we can arrange for them to see a local dentist rather than travel again to Budapest.
What other costs would there be for someone travelling to your clinic from North America?
We are more than happy to assist in finding our guests the best deals on flights and accommodation to suit all budgets and expectations and have a list of approved accommodations that we have personally viewed to ensure quality.
It it safe in Hungary?
Budapest is very safe, modern, vibrant city. Hundreds of thousands of tourists visit each year, many from the US who come to see the unique beauty and abundance of history, then continue their European adventure on one of the many international river cruises that start or finish on the banks of our stretch of the Danube.
Does a patient need to be able to speak Hungarian?
We have a mix of Hungarian and British staff, all of whom are fluent English speakers and English is widely spoken throughout Budapest.
What is there to do in your city?
Many guests combine their treatment with a city break and Budapest is perfect at any time of year with regards to size, attractions and events.
In the summer months enjoy outdoor festivals of wine, food, music and dance.
In December enjoy the magical Christmas Markets while sipping on handmade spiced hot wine.

What are the best places to eat in your area?
