Please introduce yourself.

Dr. Tim graduated dental school in 1997. He spent his first 7 years of practice working with a community dental center, providing essential care to the underserved populations of Kitsap and Grays Harbor counties. Here, he picked up many of the concepts he uses for trauma sensitive patients today. Governor Gregoire recognized him with the “Governor’s Volunteer Service Award” in 2009.

How many dental implant procedures have you done?

We have done approx 50 dental implant.

For most of our dental implant patients, we will start with a 3D scan to assist in treatment planning and delivery for the procedure. This data shows us exactly where your new implants should be placed, drastically reducing the length of surgery and recovery time.

On the day of your surgery, we’ll offer an option such as oral sedation (with nitrous oxide) to help you relax. Most people do swimmingly, even tending to forget what happened.

After installing your implant, we will wait approximately four months before installing a permanent crown. This allows new bone to grow around the artificial tooth and bond directly to it, a process we call osseointegration.

We’ve invested in state of the art technology to improve both the quality and experience of our patients. These tools also allow us to work more efficiently, saving you valuable time. In addition to being an entirely paperless digital office, we utilize tools such as:

In-House CEREC Milling for same day restorations. No 2nd appointment is needed! We can make single visit crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and even dental bridges right here in our office.

Digital X-rays to limit radiation exposure, and enhance imaging capabilities when discussing our findings with patients.

Soft Tissue Lasers for treating cold sores, fever blisters, and managing periodontal pockets that do not respond to traditional treatments.

Safe Sedation Dentistry for patients with dental anxiety. Choose between nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) and oral sedation to relax and tune out what’s going on.

Digital Scanning for treatments like same-day CEREC crowns, eliminating the old way of goopy impressions that tickle your throat.

Please give me a summary of the steps in the process of getting an implant at your clinic.

Removable overdentures are a type of denture that snaps over dental implant locators. This keeps them in place throughout the day, so that you don’t have to worry about them slipping or sliding during a meal or conversation.

Because of the structural integrity implants offer, we can use as few as two of them to support your overdenture. In certain cases, we can even retrofit your current denture to fit over implant locators.
