Please introduce yourself.
Hi, I am a 37 years old dentist, I happily live in beautiful Puerto Vallarta Mexico where the beach and mountain merge like not better place. My name is Alberto Hernandez Figueroa, I started my dental practice at International Dental Center PV about 12 years ago.

- Patients needs and thoughts
- Clinical evaluation
- Digital xrays
- Implant evaluation
- Local Anesthesia application
- Implant bed: A full-thickness flat incision is made to expose the alveolar crest
- Bone preparation for implant
- Depth measurements
- Delivery of the implant to the implant bed
- Healing screw is placed
- Flat close with stiches
Can you please provide a quick description of the surgical procedure at your clinic?
Patients health condition is written on our implant questionnaire
Local Anesthesia application
Implant bed: A full-thickness flat incision is made to expose the alveolar crest
Bone preparation for implant: Cutting is initiated with small round bur, piercing the cortical bone prior to the use of cylindrical burs. Final finishing with appropriate bone tap is recommended in dense cortical bone to facilitate insertion of the implant. Final finishing with cylindrical burs with external irrigation, the precise successive bur procedure are follow according to implant brand.
Delivery of the implant to the implant bed: Implant type, length and expiry date should be checked. The implant is removed from tray by carefully avoiding contact of the implant with any surface. The implant is then transferred to the implant bed.
I use one-stage procedure and two-stage procedure, every case is different.
The implant is closed with cover screw (healing screw) located in the package system of each company. Soft tissue are sutured over the implant
How much do your procedures cost?
The cost of the implant procedure is $1000 USD (crown and abutment not included)
We know that American and Canadian prices are really high, with our prices you will save money, have a NEW BRILLIANT SMILE and Vacations at the same time for just almost the same what you would’ve paid in your country.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, wire transfer, Paypal, Amex, Mastercard, Visa
How many trips to Mexico are required?
To replace one or two teeth with implants and crowns, most of the time 2 trips to mexico are required, on the first trip we install the implant (s) in a period of time of 5 days on the second trip we prepare the soft tissue to connect the crown onto the implant, we recommend the stay of 7-9 days
How many surgeries/appointments are required?
Each case is diferent, the type of bone plays a role very important, I can say an average time is 4 months. I use one-stage procedure and two-stage procedure, on two-stage procedure we need to do a second opening (cut a flat)
What do advise your patients to do if they have a problem with their implant?
If the implant comes out, we always recommend to let the bone heal, do not try to put it back on, in our clinic we provide 3-year warranty, yes they need to come again to our clinic in Puerto Vallarta Mexico
What other costs would there be for someone travelling to your clinic from North America?
Well, the cost for abutment and crown have not been mentioned, on the second trip our patients need to know that the crown and abutment is necessary to replace the whole tooth, the cost is $750 USD.
Where do your patients stay while they are getting an implant done?
Most of them stay in Hotel Sheraton Bugambilias, Costa Sur resort, Villa de palmar, Hotel Azteca,
Friendly resort, Blue chairs resort and some other stay in our apartments, on my website I offer package that include accommodation when they spend more than $3,000 USD in dental work, or I rent the units $40-75 USD per night.
