At Sonata Dental, many of our patients come from surrounding communities throughout the Airdrie area, including Big Springs, Edgewater, Hillcrest, Meadowbrook, and Sagewood. We are just a short 15 minute drive from northwest Calgary along the Deerfoot Trail.

Dr. Lai received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University in 1995. However, he soon realized that he had a passion to interact with people on a more personal level. Instead of pursuing a career in research, he chose to become a dentist.

Dr. Lai enrolled in the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University. After obtaining his certification to practice as a General Dentist, Dr. Lai moved to Calgary to found his practice.
Dr. Lai is licensed to practice dentistry under the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and the Alberta Dental Association and College. He is also a member of the BC Dental Association, the Calgary and the District Dental Society and the Canadian Dental Association.

What procedures do you typically recommend and perform?
Dr. Lai can place singular or multiple implants (including popular implant-retained style options) to support your permanent prosthesis.
Our Teeth in a Day option features 4-6 implants on your upper and/or lower jaw, allowing you to wear your temporary prosthesis on the same day as surgery. Please keep in mind that planning prior to your surgery will take several months, and your final prosthesis will not be placed for weeks afterwards and will need to be fitted.
What type of implants does your clinic use?

How much do your procedures cost?
We offer Invisalign starting from a baseline cost of $3,900 a year, and dental implants starting from a baseline cost of $1,000.
What payment methods do you accept?
Not every dental service is covered by insurance. In these instances, we proudly accept HealthSmart Financial, which helps you cover your out-of-pocket expenses.
We also accept most major credit cards, personal checks, and cash payments.
How long is the healing time?
It will take 12 days to 20 days. It will take 2 or 3 appointments for getting dental implant. It will be depend on condition.
