I’m in Long Beach, CA and need to have a tooth replaced on the upper arch next to my front teeth. The dentist I saw recommended a temporary “flipper” tooth to be replaced by a permanent solution at a later date. My insurance will only pay for tooth replacement, dentures, etc. every 5 years…I can’t afford to pay out of pocket for tooth replacement. So my question is: can the “flipper” be skipped and instead replace the bad tooth with a permanent solution right away.
